How to find the Museum
The Berkshire Scenic Railway Museum/Lenox Station is located 2.5 miles east of historic downtown Lenox, MA (1.5 miles from Routes 7 & 20) at the east end of Housatonic Street. From Pittsfield and points north, make a left turn from Routes 7 & 20 onto Housatonic Street. From Mass Pike Exit 2 (Lee) follow Route 20 west 4.5 miles to a right turn onto Housatonic Street. From The Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge and points west and south follow Route 7 north 6.3 miles to a right turn onto Housatonic Street. At the end of Housatonic Street make a left turn onto Willow Creek Road and continue 100 yards to the Museum/Station entrance which is marked by a railroad crossing sign.

About the Train Ride
On weekends and holidays (Memorial Day weekend through the last weekend in October) the Museum offers two ninety minute round trip excursions from Lenox Station to Stockbridge and a forty-five minute round trip excursion from Lenox Station to Lee narrated by a uniformed conductor. Using a diesel locomotive from the 1950s and vintage standard gauge coaches from the 1920s. The ride provides a perfect introduction to the fun and history of railroading in Western Massachusetts and across the country.
Tickets for the round trip train ride (there is no charge for admission to the museum in the station or to the Gilded Age Exhibit. Prices are subject to change and the museum reserves the right to change or cancel service without notice.

Schedule
Trains leave Lenox for the 90 minute round trip to Stockbridge at 10:10am
and 2:20pm. A shorter 45 minute round trip to Lee leaves Lenox at 12:15pm.
Please allow time to park and come into the station to buy your tickets
before train time.

Enjoying a day in Stockbridge
Shop-Dine-Relax
Avoid the hassle of trying to find parking in Stockbridge. Arrive in town in the grand style of tourists in the past and spend 4 hours in Stockbridge before returning to Lenox.
Board the 10:10am train at Lenox Station and arrive in Stockbridge at 10:51am. From Memorial Day to Labor Day connect with the free Trolley-Bus* at Stockbridge Station and be transported to Main Street or to the Norman Rockwell Museum to view the world's largest and most significant collection of original Rockwell art. Highlights include enduring favorites from Rockwell's Saturday Evening Post covers, the powerful FOUR FREEDOMS, and the nostalgic STOCKBRIDGE MAIN STREET AT CHRISTMAS.
Enjoy lunch at the Rockwell Museum.s café or take the Trolley-Bus back to Main Street to enjoy a leisurely lunch, browse the shops along Main and Elm Streets or just relax on the front porch of the famed Red Lion Inn
Take the Trolley-Bus from Main Street back to the railroad station and board the 3:25pm train for the return trip to Lenox. The Stockbridge Station is only 1/4 mile (10 minute) walk from Main Street but sidewalks are not fully completed to the station.
Be sure to inform the conductor that you will be spending the middle of the day in Stockbridge and will be returning on the afternoon train.
*The Trolley-Bus is operated by the Berkshire Regional Transit Authority, not by the Berkshire Scenic Railway Museum.
